Dystocia

Literally means difficult childbirth. All mothers will say childbirth is difficult! Dystocia implies that the baby would not come out of the birth canal, either because of a problem with the baby (too big, buttocks coming first, twins etc) or a problem with the mother (deformed pelvis, poor contractions etc)
