The Vulcano was a Spanish mine layer of 2100 tons displacement launched in 1935. The Vulcano was powered by Yarrow boilers providing a top speed of 18.5 knots. She carried a complement of 123 and 264 mines. She was armed with four 4.7 inch guns; two 3.4 inch anti-aircraft guns; four 20 mm anti-aircraft guns and two depth charge throwers.
