Vulcanodon (meaning `volcano tooth`) is an extinct genus of sauropod dinosaur from the Early Jurassic of southern Africa. The only known species is V. karibaensis. Vulcanodon was a dinosaur of the Cretaceous period. Only partial remains of Vulcanodon have been found, and these exclude a neck or head and so little is known of it. It is thought to have been a large, bulky dinosaur about six and a half metres long that walked on all fours and probably had a long neck and small head.
