(= PKC related kinase; PKN) Serine/threonine kinases (120 kD). PRK-1 is found in hippocampus and is activated by phospholipids and arachidonic acid, binds to rho-GTP and possibly regulates cytoskeletal changes. PRK-2 (PKN-2; PAK-2) was isolated from U937 cells and foetal brain and is activated by cardiolipin and acidic phospholipids. Binds rac and rho which will activate its kinase activity, and interacts with SH3 domain of Nck and PLC g .
