Ushas (उषस्; {IAST|uṣas}), Sanskrit for `dawn`, is a Vedic deity, and consequently a Hindu deity as well. Sanskrit {IAST|uṣas} is an s-stem, i.e. the genitive case is {IAST|uṣásas}.
