A dialect expression commonly used in Austria (also known as Stoppler) for the wine defect Korkschmecker, which is derived from stubble (cork). In the Palatinate (Germany) this is also used as a term (also Stupfeln, Stuppeln) for the post-harvesting of grapes in the vineyard that were overlooked during the main harvest.
