Sherardizing

Sherardizing logo #21217Sherardizing is a method of treating iron and steel in order to obtain a rust-proof surface. Sherardizing consists of heating the iron or steel in the presence of zinc dust in such a way that an amalgamation of the two metals takes place, an iron-zinc alloy being formed.
