Os'cil·lo·gram noun [ Latin oscillare + -gram .] (Electricity) An autographic record made by an oscillograph. Found on http://www.encyclo.co.uk/webster/O/36
A visual representation of a sound, plotted on a graph as relative loudness (vertical axis) versus time (horizontal axis). The vertical axis actually is a measure of the increase or decrease in air pressure (measured in micropascals) associated with the sound wave, which determines the loudness. The oscillogram does not show sound frequency. Found on https://academy.allaboutbirds.org/bird-academys-a-to-z-glossary-of-bird-ter
