The white grape variety is an open flowered seedling of the Concord variety. It contains genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was selected in the USA by the private breeder John Burr (as was the Jewel variety). In 2016 no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
