A loosely woven coarse fabric of cotton or wool used in clothing. Hop growers originally used the fabric for bags.
A plain weave with paired/double fibers interwoven in both the warp (vertical) and weft (cross) directions. Fabric stability depends on the tightness of the weave. Also called basket weave.
Variation on plain weave, where two or more ends and picks weave as one. Sometimes called basket weave.
