(pronounced ree-OH-ha-SAWR-us) Riojasaurus was a prosauropod dinosaur, a quadrupedal, long-necked herbivore from the late Triassic and early Jurassic periods .

Riojasaurus was a herbivore dinosaur of the Triassic period. Riojasaurus was about ten metres long, had a small head and long neck and tail and a massive body supported by four stout legs. The toes were armed with claws. Remains of Riojasaurus were found in Argentina.
