The ISDN Primary Rate Interface. A multichannel interface supporting 1.5 Mbps in North America, 2Mbps elsewhere. For example, 2 Mbps is split 31B+D. User speech or data on 64k bits per second B channels, signaling on single 64k bits per second D channel. See also BRI (Basic Rate Interface).
