Police Community Support Officer PCSOs are civilian members of police staff who have been trained to engage with their local community. Although they are not Police Officers, they do have a range of designated powers. Each Safer Neighbourhood Team usually consists of a Police Sergeant, two Police Constables and three PCSOs.
