Radio reception by several paths simultaeneously. A destructive interference problem for some mobile systems such as those based on TDMA and FDMA but a benefit for CDMA systems where multiple time-shifted signals can be added together, as in soft handover. Ghosting on television sets is caused by multipath reception.
