Krakatau

The Krakatau was a Dutch mine layer of 982 tons displacement launched in 1924. She carried a complement of 91 and had a top speed of 15.5 knots. She was armed with two 3 inch anti-aircraft guns and four machine-guns. In 1932 she floundered after steaming at full speed with her stern mine ports open, and was subsequently salvaged and refitted.
