The Kamome was a Japanese minelayer of 450 tons displacement launched in 1929. The Kamome was powered by two sets of diesel engines providing a top speed of 19 knots and was armed with one 3 inch anti-aircraft gun and one machine-gun. In addition to being fitted for mine laying she was also equipped for laying anti-submarine nets.
