Herbstosaurus A “Herbst’s lizard” from Middle Jurassic Argentina. Named in honor of R. Herbst, an Argentine fossil collector who discovered the specimen. It was first described as a Compsognathus-like dinosaur. Named by Argentinian paleontologist Rodolfo. M. Casamiquela in 1974.
