High Speed Circuit Switched Data. Extension of GSM CSD to support higher speed by using several traffic channels simultaneously. Developed by ETSI at the same time as GPRS (but simpler to manage and rolled-out sooner in many networks). HSCSD has some inherent deployment difficulties related to consistent QoS and tariffing.
