The Gaddi (aka Pahari Bharmauri) are a Hindu tribe living mainly in the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. They used to be considered as scheduled tribe but some are scheduled caste or `untouchables` in the Punjab but are no longer considered such and are made up of Rajputs, Khatris, Ranas, and Thakurs. .....
