The Eryx is a French shoulder-fired, short range, semi-automatic wire guided anti-tank missile designed for use at the shorter ranges, less than 500 meters, that other wire guided anti-tank missiles could not be used at. Eryx fires a 160 mm diameter rocket to an effective range of 600 metres and can penetrate more than 900 mm of armour.
