The Araguaia was a Brazilian destroyer of 1376 tons displacement launched in 1943. The Araguaia was powered by three 3-drum type boilers providing a top speed of 35.5 knots and carried a complement of 150. She was armed with four 4.7 inch guns; seven smaller guns and eight 21 inch torpedo tubes arranged in two quadruples.
