Anasazisaurus Anasazi (ancient ones) lizard from Late Cretaceous New Mexico. This fossil was named for the ancient Anasazi people, who lived in the Chaco Canyon near the locality where the fossil was found in New Mexico. Named by Adrian Paul Hunt and Frederic Augustus Lucas (1852-1929) in 1993.
