Amun is an alternative spelling of Ammon.
A god who's cult center was the temple of Amun at Karnak. He was considered to be king of all the gods and the the creator of all things.
the most important and powerful god of the New Kingdom. He was sometimes shown as a human and sometimes with a ram's head. In the New Kingdom, the priests of Amun became very powerful in politics as well as in religion.
