The rubbing-off of dye from a fabric.
A process in which dye particles rub off a fabric. 
Any material used in the bottom of containers to provide drainage (i.e. shells, rocks, broken pottery, Styrofoam.)
Transfer or smudging of dry ink on the finished product. 
The tendency of excess dyes to rub off. Napped and pile fabrics in deep colors are most likely to crock. The textile industry has set standards and tests to measure and prevent crocking. Yarns and woven fabric can be rated for both wet and dry crocking.
This is when dye rubs off a fabric improperly dyed washed or finished.
