The Vasilek is a Soviet 82 mm automatic mortar first used during the 1970s and used extensively during the Soviet war in Afghanistan. The Vasilek may be loaded manually through the muzzle or automatically from four-round clips through the breech and fires a 3.23 kg high-explosive shell to a range of 4720 metres.
