The Tamega was a Portuguese destroyer of 524 tons displacement launched in 1922. The Tamega was powered by three Yarrow boilers providing a top speed of 27 knots and a range of 1280 km at 15 knots. The Tamega carried a normal complement of 80 and was armed with one 4 inch gun; two 3 inch guns and four 18 inch torpedo tubes arranged in two pairs.
