The Machanu was a Japanese-built Thai submarine of 370 tons displacement launched in 1936. The Machanu had a top speed of 14.5 knots surfaced and 8 knots submerged. She carried a complement of 24 and was armed with one machine-gun and five 21 inch torpedo tubes.
