H 1 was a Canadian-built Italian H Class coastal submarine of 336 tons displacement built by Vickers and launched in 1916. She was armed with four 21-inch bow torpedo tubes and carried a complement of 22. Two Nelseco Diesel engines provided a top speed of 13 knots surfaced and twp electric motors provided a top speed of 11 knots submerged.
