The Butlej was an Indian sloop of 1300 tons displacement launched in 1940. The Butlej was powered by two 3-drum type boilers providing a top speed of 18 knots and carried a complement of between 160 and 197. She was armed with six 4 inch dual-purpose guns and six 20 mm anti-aircraft guns.
