Brontotheridae An extinct suborder of large, rhinoceros-like mammals (Perissodactyla) that flourished during the Eocene and the Oligocene periods; limbs were short and massive, teeth primitive, skull long and low with small braincase. This order includes brontotheres and titanotheres.
