
Baturu (Manchu: baturu) is a title from the Qing Dynasty for commanders and soldiers who fight bravely in a battlefield. In Manchu, baturu means warrior or brave. It is originally from the Mongolian word `baγatur` which has the same meaning. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, only Manchu or Mongolian soldiers were qualified to earn the title.....
