The small DOC area for red and white wines in the Portuguese region of Extremadura includes the urban areas of DOS Vinhos, Sobral de Monte Agraço and Vila Franca de Xira Arruda. The wines are mainly made from the indigenous varieties Camarate, Fernão Pires, Jampal, Tinta Miúda, Trincadeira and Vital.
