  4. Kelvin
One of the basic physical units of measurement for temperature. The scale is the same as the Celsius, but the 0 K starts from -273.16ºC (0 K on the Kelvin scale or 0ºR on the Rakine scale or –459.60ºF on the Fahrenheit scale). Also the unit of measurement of the colour temperature of light is expressed in Kelvin or K. In colour recording, light temperature affects the colour values of the lights and the scene that they illuminate.

  8. kelvin
    (K) The SI base unit of temperature, defined by assigning 273.16 K to the temperature at which steam, ice, and water are at equilibrium (called the triple point of water). The freezing point of water is 273.15 K.

  9. kelvin
Kelvin (K) is the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature. The kelvin, unit of thermodynamic temperature, is the fraction 1/273.16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water. The unit is named after the British scientist Sir. W. Thompson, Lord Kelvin (1824-1907).

  11. kelvin
Kelvin is the absolute temperature scale and it is measured from absolute zero*. A difference in temperature of 1 kelvin is the same as a difference of 1° C. However, 0 kelvin is approximately -273°C so, on this scale, water boils at 373 K and freezes at 273 K. Note however that there is no ° symbol used to indicate temperature on the kelvin scale.

The `kelvin` (symbol: `K`) is a unit increment of temperature and is one of the seven SI base units. The `Kelvin scale` is a thermodynamic (absolute) temperature scale where absolute zero ` the coldest possible temperature ` is zero kelvin (0 K). The Kelvin scale and the kelvin are named after the Northern Irish physicist and engineer William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin (1824 - 1907), who wrote of the need for an `absolute ther...
