    For a two-dimensional image, a channel is a sub-image composed only of the values for a single component of a given pixel. A greyscale image has one colour channel, an RGB image has three, and a CMYK image has four. Doctor Who would go on to become the longest-running science-fiction programme in the world, eventually spawning twenty six seasons of adventures from 1963 to 1989. In total, eight actors have played the part of Gallifrey's most famous Time Lord.
