Cord Compression

A condition in which the umbilical cord becomes wrapped around the baby's neck or squished between the baby's head and mother's pelvis, that leads to stretching and compressing of the cord. Because of the compression, blood within the cord is decreased, which causes the fetal heart rate to drop periodically. Usually, the condition is not a threat.....
