  1. Gilmoreosaurus
    Gilmoreosaurus was an duck-billed dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period (roughly 99-65 million years ago). This plant-eating dinosaur was about 26 feet (8 m) long. Incomplete fossils of this ornithischian hadrosaur have been found in China. The type species is G. mongoliensis (it was originally called Mandschurosaurus, named by C. W. Gilmore in 1933). Gilmoreosaurus was named by Brett-Surman in 1979 (to honor C. W. Gilmore).

    `Gilmoreosaurus` is the name given to a genus of dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous. `Gilmoreosaurus kysylumensis` is considered a `nomen dubium` because it is described from teeth only, though other species preserve more material. It is believed, however, to be a hadrosaur or iguanodont. It lived in Asia, and one specimen was described formally as `Gilmoreosaurus atavus` by Nessov in 1995. This day in history:
The Royal Suspension Chain Pier was opened on 25 November 1823 with a procession and firework display, but, to the disappointment of the town, without royalty being present. It proved an immediate success with both cross-channel travellers and also with promenaders who were charged an admission of two pence or one guinea annually.
