Syngonosaurus is an invalid name for the dinosaurAnoplosaurus , an iguanodontid from the early Cretaceous period , about 98 million years ago. This small plant-eater had thumb spikes and lived in what is now England.

Syngonosaurus This nomenclature (“kindred lizard”) is no longer recognized by scientists because they found that it described an animal that was previously given another name which is Anoplosaurus or Acanthopholis. Named by Harry Govier Seeley in 1879.
