   HMS Rhyl was a British Bangor Class minesweeper of about 665 tons displacement launched in 1940. HMS Rhyl was powered by two 3-drum small tube type boilers providing a top speed of 16 knots. She carried a complement of 60 and was armed with one 3 inch anti-aircraft gun; two 20 mm anti-aircraft guns and four machine-guns.
