Fetal Posture

The characteristic posture of the fetus within the uterus during the later months of pregnancy. Typically, the fetus will be lying with its head flexed and the chin almost touching the chest. The thighs are usually flexed towards the abdomen and the legs are bent at the knees. Synonym(s): Fetal Attitude
